Based off of one, two and three, the answer is NYU--- and it's not even close.

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that the only way to get a full ride at GW is to ed. If that is the case, your choice is pretty much made for you already.

If I am wrong, I'd say NYU. Far more opportunities for you straight out of school.

NYU - I think half of my callback interviewers went to NYU, seriously. Not trolling because I don't go there, but I found it odd how I didn't meet grads from any other school located in the state of New York (I don't think I interviewed with any Columbia grads) while interviewing in New York. Makes me think NYU has a really strong alumni base in New York.

CLS v.NYU is a wash. Strangely, I have never met one single Cornell lawyer anywhere ever, despite having met plenty of BLS, Fordham, 'Dozo, etc. alums. I don't know where they all go, but it seems not to be private practice in NYC.

I'm drawing from limited experiences, but I was only interviewed by NYU, Harvard, Stanford, Fordham, Mich, and Penn grads in New York. (And I think maybe GW.) Didn't meet a single Cornell student/grad. Maybe they practice in upstate New York?

This is interesting. Does anyone else have input on this? WHat is the placement ability in places other than NYC for Cornell grads?

I've met plenty of Cornell types in NYC biglaw. They have a pretty small class size, so it's less likely you will run into them.

I know for me personally, I would attend Columbia over all the other schools below it, but I want DC.

Ayup. Brooklyn, Cardozo and Fordham are all roughly twice the size of Cornell. Also, their graduates are probably more likely to stay in the city. Only 60%ish of Cornell students stay in New York State, and some of them stay Upstate. So probably 100 or so grads entering the NYC market every year from Cornell, as opposed to about 400 from Fordham (assuming 80% of Fordham grads stay in the city).

NYU. Then Cornell. I wouldn't attend GW, even on a full ride because it's really hard getting top 10% to get the kind of jobs you want.

It looks like I'm in the minority, and in a normal economy, I would say attend the best law school you get into. But these days even NYU students aren't guaranteed a job and being in a position of no debt when you're job hunting is literally priceless. Maybe you can even do 1 year for free at GW and transfer to NYU later.

Think it's got something to do with their tiny class size? It did look like Cornell got its ass kicked in NLJ placement ITE though.

I love how people throw these types of statements around with absolutely no way of knowing if what they are saying is factual.

Never claimed it was.

Besides, 123 placed -> 86 placed, with no corresponding decrease in class size, sounds like an ass-kicking to me, especially for the most expensive school in the T14.
