In trying to evaluate where to go, do any of you think that sitting in on a class is a significant factor? If so, which class(es) do you think is/are ideal for evaluating whether you'd like to attend?

Ask current 1Ls who the best professors are.

Why does it matter that I'm not a current UG?

no, it's just that, if you know you're going to law school anyway, it doesn't really matter what class you sit in on, nor will it meaningfully help decide between schools. i like the idea of UGs sitting in on a good civpro class though.

I second Civpro- I find that people who liked civpro are also the ones who are excited about practicing.

3L class. Make sure you talk to a handful of people and listen to what they are doing for employment after school is over. Listen carefully for concrete answers. Many people will say "I have a number of things lined up" or "I have a couple options I am looking at" or "I am hoping my unpaid internship will allow me to stay on for awhile until I find something more permanent". Few are the folks who say "I am doing X and it is a paying job".
