Top Law Schools

My general feeling as I read through the forums is that people on here, for the most part, seem to think NYU is a lot closer to MVP than CC. How come? In general, I have seen people even promote MVP against NYU. Is there good reason to think NYU is overrated in its ranking?

tho iunno, in general, i wouldnt say MVP over N lol

Different schools can be better for a particular applicant's interest depending in their interests (outside of HYS, which are really pretty universally dominating). N is not always the best choice over MVP (if you want West Coast, for instance, M has great reach), but if you want NYC biglaw it certainly is.

I *think* N gets demoted in light of CC sometimes because of CC's greater national reach and potential for clerkships/academia. Just a guess.
