In as a transfer at both schools, want biglaw in NYC, which school is best?

Someone from Penn will probably chime in, but I seem to remember in one of the Penn threads that they are quite transfer-friendly and have several transfers on LR, for example. Dunno about Mich.

If anyone has any info on penn transfers, I'd love to hear it. I am strongly leaning towards penn right now

If I remember correctly, Penn outplaces NYU in NYC biglaw. For NYC biglaw, Penn is the better choice.

can anyone who voted for mich chime in? whats your reasoning?

Too bad everyone thinks Penn is Penn State.

Mich places the plurality in NYC. More offices are coming to OCI from NYC than any other city, but you can't go wrong either way. I know a transfer who got a ton of need-based aid from Mich. Would either school be cheaper?

I would go on nalp and look at the list of firms that do on campus interviews for each school. Not exactly the same as those going to each school's OCI this year, but you get a better idea.

It's obvious you have no idea what you are talking about, and this is really, really, really old data, which you are also misinterpreting. News is, Penn placed around half or less than half the people percentage wise at its OCI of what NYU placed at its OCI this past year.

Unless you can get your hands on the list of firms going to each school's OCI (which students are not supposed to release to outsiders), I would go on nalp to see what firms are doing on campus interviews and go from there.
