Hey guys, this is the second part of my question.
my rank is 10-12% from around a 50 ranked school.
I might get on LR at my current school. I am basically the next couple people in line. I dont want to give everything away.

I dont want to jinx myself, but I think i am looking very good at washu.

If i do not get into GT,Mich, UCLA, do you think it is a good idea to transfer to washu and give up law review(assuming i get it).

Where do you want to practice and do you think you will land a good job in a market you like if you stay put?

My first priority is trying to get a biglaw job. Second priority is to work in a city/region that I prefer.

My current school is not in a market that I am interested in.

List of areas that i could be potentially interested in working in.
Tier 1
LA/San diego/San Fran
Tier 2
DC/NY
Tier 3
Chicago/Baston
x-factor
Detroit (im from Michigan)

Where do you go? How much are you paying? What happened to people at around your class rank last year?

As to Wash U and UCLA both are very good schools, but not really national in scope. Also, how are transfer students placing at these schools? You might be in a better position where you are now

I go to a school in the midwest.

I am paying around 30k. Small scholarship.

Mixed. Some people on LR dont have jobs, but others around the 10-20 range are pretty successful.
in 08 my school was getting around 10% or so in NJ250 firms.

True. I feel that if i leave my school, I am trading a better chance to get a good job at my old school with regional mobility.

So are we talking about Case here?

I think your odds of biglaw are better at your current school than median at WUSTL or UCLA. If you can get Michigan, you absolutely should transfer. But I don't see that happening.

Well it was either Case or Cincinnati. The 40-60 range isn't well represented by the Midwest.

Yep, I am. I dunno how I feel about this particular poll though. I could see you going to WUSTL if you want a different market and want more portability within the Midwest, since I don't think Case travels very well. But if you just want biglaw, then stay put.

Any other schools you are considering besides the four you've mentioned? What about a school like Vanderbilt? UIUC? Texas? ND?
