Top Law Schools

I have been accepted to both. My gpa and lsat makes no difference. I will not be applying to any other schools. My question still stands. Can anyone who has attended either of these schools give me good advice, as to which school I should attend?

Whichever is cheapest and in the city where you want to work b/c they are both festering TTT's.

Meh...I doubt you'll be moving back to Miami with a legal job coming from either of these law schools unless there's one waiting for you already.

the portability of a RWU or Capital degree means you better have prior connections to law firms in Miami if you plan on going back...it will be reallllyyyy tough to go back to a glutted Miami legal market with either of those degrees. FIU or Stetson would probably be good choices for you.

I won't be practicing law in the traditional manner. I will be going into politics as soon as I return...

I know a kid that graduated from Capital last year. He know works at NY Life as a temp making around $12 an hour doing work he says trained monkeys could perform. He doesn't even work in a legal aspect. It took him months just to get a temp position, and he says he still has it better than some of his classmates (He graduated in the top third of his class). To top it all off, he's in debt over $200,000. He figures he'll be paying off his loans till he is 52, and he's currently 25.

Also, he moved back to TX after graduating. Capital to TX = Capital to Miami

So why not just go into politics now? And why can't you get into a T3 or T4 school in Florida where your electorate will at least have heard of your law school?

If by "politics" you mean a staffperson, and you only need the J.D. so that you are purportedly qualified to do policy work, then go to RWU. Because it's the cheapest. You'd better hope your job is (a) rock solid, and (b) what you want to do for the rest of your life. Because you're not going to lateral anywhere w/ a J.D. from Roger Williams.

If by "politics" you mean elected office, why the hell would the citizens of Miami care if you have a J.D. from a school in Ohio or RI?

Frankly, your entire plan seems poorly thought out and highly naive. Also kind of flame-ish.

The only people that can give you advice are those that attended these law schools?

You don't think they will give you terribly biased advice as well?

Not to mention that these folks aren't exactly the cream of the crop in the legal profession....and certainly not the cream of the crop of "going to a crappy T3/T4 law school thousands of miles from where I don't want to practice law but plan to get elected to public office"

If you're intent on wasting the money, just go wherever is cheapest, because it really doesn't matter.
