I hear it is impossible to go to the websites of various law schools and look at the optional essays they ask for. Again, it's just what I hear.

trying to make yourself different by writing in poetic verse is one of the most stupidest things I've ever heard... Okay I lied.. It's not one of the most stupidest things, it IS the most stupidest thing I've ever heard.. smh

You can send them anything you want to. When you submit your application through the LSDAS website, you indicate/attach/upload those files that should be sent to each school along with your application.

Just a bit of advice on putting an adversity statement in poetic form. The ranking system by adcomms usually goes:
Sonnet > Villanelle > Ode > Ballad > Dirty Limerick > Haiku > Clean Limerick
