I'm in at U.C. Davis and waitlisted at the following:

WUSTL
Notre Dame
Minnesota
USC
U.C. Hastings

I definitely want to try my luck at USC since I am from SoCal, but are any of my other waitlists even worth riding given that I've already been accepted to Davis?

If you want to stay in California, I don't think so. If you're interested in working in the Midwest, then stay on the three Midwest schools.

Where do you want to end up? If SoCal is the answer, then I'd only remain on the USC waitlist. I think that USC will do at least as well as Davis/Hastings in NorCal as well, but feel free to correct me. UMN, ND, and WUSTL are great schools but don't have the reach to reliably bring you back to the west coast.

So is the general consensus that the only waitlists worth riding are those for a) any school in the T-14 (assuming you weren't accepted to any other T-14 school), or b) other top school(s) in the region in which you want to practice?

If this is the case, then it would probably be a mistake to change my plans, possibly at the last minute, to attend any of the schools mentioned above other than USC. Thoughts?
