Wake would have slightly better national reach, but neither school is nationally portable. Moreover, Wake isn't worth sticker.

Im one of those that will probably be paying sticker for wake. I got into lower ranked schools with some $, but in the end wake was a better fit for me. I wont have to pay for COL, so ill probably end up around 110k in debt when i graduate. luckily my fiance and i have a decent amount of $$ saved up from working the past 3+ years. we also have no student loan debt (all paid off) and my car is completely paid off. the only debt we will have going in will be her car which is more than 1/2 paid off. still praying for a scholarship after the june 15th deposit deadline though!

my situation may be different than most others on this board. however i definitely believe if you are paying full price (tuition+col) and have other debts, go to fsu. wake just aint worth it. plus fsu got rid of bobby - i would like to be there to usher in the jimbo fisher era.

Are the job prospects going to be much different?

Avg starting salary for grads of either school would realistically be in the 60-70K range (maybe a bit higher for Wake grads, but not much), and FSU students do benefit from studying in the capital city of a large state, so I'm finding it difficult to justify paying full boat at Wake. Hmm............. Anybody who voted Wake want to weigh in with a "go to Wake" argument?

Wake Forest isn't going to bring you more job prospects than FSU. You'll essentially have the same salary and same type of position, but making a bigger loan payment. Go with FSU.

I'm going to tote the FSU line here. Wake is a fine school but not so great that you should dig yourself into debt for it.
