haha I'm sure there has been a lot of debate on this, though I haven't participated so I'll just throw in that the schools are basically equal, go to BC if you want a campus lifestyle and BU if you want an urban setting. Otherwise, same, no?

The token line is "BC for Boston, BU for the Northeast generally"

I have no idea how true that is.

It isn't.

That's the CW I've heard too. The other is that many BC students have an inferiority complex toward BU.

BU is harder to get into - doesn't take as many weak splitters.

BU accepted me. BC waitlisted me. Therefore BU has the superior taste and admissions standards.

I don't believe this is accurate. BC has a lower acceptance rate (20% vs. 24%). Isn't that the best measure of "how hard to get in?"

Schools are pretty similar as far as reputation. As others have mentioned, BC has a better rep in Boston, but also seems to have a more national reach due to name recognition. However, they are very different in terms of atmosphere. BC is more of a collegial campus feel, while BU is more of an NYU urban feel. I would visit both and see which you like better, as niether is right or wrong. I visiting is really the only way to pick one of the other. Most people who are accepted to one were also accepted to the other, so the student bodies are pretty much the exact same.

Stats: 166/3.8
Acceptances: GULC, BC, BU, GW, Fordham, UCLA, UConn
Denied: Cornell, Chicago

See. You start it up again. Not true. The schools are basically the same. One doesn't have a prestige edge over the other.

.2 higher median GPA at BU - doesn't sound like much but it shows that BC had to take more weak splitters to hit a 166 LSAT. 3.7 > 3.5.

haha google bc girls. take my word for it though i've lived in boston my whole life and had friends who go to both. the undergrads are comparable but BC def has an edge but for the LSes there is no comparison based on the time that i've spent in either place which over the past 2 years has been considerable.
