I've followed this site for a while, but just now posting. Trying to decide and curious what you all think. If possible, please provide a rationale for your vote. That would be very helpful. Thanks.

Need information on geographic preference, goals, etc.
That said, I'd go with GW.

I would like to eventually end up in the Rocky Mountains/Northwest. Still not sure what type of law I'd like to practice. Made it through undergrad and grad without debt, but still fairly averse to debt.

This makes it tougher, but probably Colorado. Did you request that they match your GW scholarship?

I haven't. I don't know on this, but is there generally opportunity for further scholarships for 2L and 3L or is this it?

This. CU is king in Colorado, as I'm sure you know.

Yes, I know. What are the comparisons between BYU and Colorado as far as placement in the NW? Is Colorado's placement so much better that passing up full tuition at BYU is advisable? Colorado would be out-of-state btw.

Yeah, but you can get in-state after your 1st year, which is why they have reduced scholarships for just about everybody after the 1st year. If you are set on Colorado practice, definitely go to UC-Boulder. I really don't know about this, but there is some indication that BYU's connections are largely due to its prestige in Mormon communities, law offices, etc... If you are Mormon, then I'd take it. If not, I'd be wary of the connotations that weigh on a BYU degree.

I am Mormon. I would definitely be happy to end up in Colorado/Denver, but what about Portland or Seattle when comparing BYU and Colorado?
