Top Law Schools

So that battle is between Duke who has given me a $67,500 scholarship (half tuition) and NYU who has not awarded any money yet. While there still is opportunity for an award from NYU, I am also considering the cost of living in NYC.

In other news, I still have not heard from Harvard, Columbia, or Chicago. And according to some people, if you get into a Harvard or Columbia, you have just, without a doubt, GOT TO GO there.

Thoughts? (Particularly from current law students, especially those attending any of the schools mentioned)

I want to go into civil litigation. And ultimately I really want to become a court justice.

I also have admission offers from Emory, UMD, and GW

Ignore those people, you're the one who has to live with your decision. Besides, 1/3 of Harvard admits and 2/3 of Columbia's turn them down every year.

Do you have $500 to burn? You could always deposit at Duke while waiting on the others.

Duke. 160k a year goes a lot farther ANYWHERE that isn't NYC.

Dook. I think taking into account COL it'd be ~100k difference, before interest.

HCC if you get in. Duke unless you know for sure you want to live in NY after graduation.

I don't know. Even then, Duke places well in NYC. And NYC is hella expensive. It would still be a tough call for me.
