Below is a list of the rankings & ratings of the top 48 law schools when combining the most recent (2011) USNews ratings (not rankings) with the National Law Journal February 22, 2010 law placement rankings (as ratings are not applicable):

It would be pretty difficult for a ranking system to have less meaning.

The methodology is simple: Add the total overall score of the current USNews ratings to the inverse position of the National Law Journal rankings. Columbia, therefore, would equal 91 & 49 = 140.
The purpose of this rating & ranking system is to minimize opinion input which comprises a large part of the USNews ratings & adding in actual employment results by law school for the largest 250 firms. The peer assessment scores in USNews are probably--we don't know for certain--favorable to federal judicial clerkship & academic placements so this is a balancing factor that more accurately reflects the current employment value of a degree from these law schools.

This rating & ranking system is, obviously, only capable of evaluating the law schools ranked by the National Law Journal--typically 50-- and those law schools assigned numerical score totals by USNews for all rated categories, thus Howard University was not included in this rating & ranking system as it is a Tier Three USNews law school.

IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law was the only other law school left out in the original post in addition to Howard University. IIT Chicago-Kent ranked 49th with a rating of 46.

Tulane, Indiana Univ.- Bloomington, Alabama, Colorado, Utah & George Mason are USNews top 50 law schools that did not make the most recent National Law Journal "Go-To Law Schools" list (comprised of 50 top large law firm placement schools) based on placement at the top 250 largest law firms and, consequently, could not be included in this rating & ranking system for this year.

The six (6) non-top 50 USNews law schools that did make the National Law Journal list of top 50 placement at the largest 250 law firms are: Howard University, the Univ. of Houston, Villanova, ITT Chicago-Kent, Temple & Loyola-Chicago.

Although I do appreciate what you're trying to do here.
This is pretty close to how I feel about this. I never get tired of new ways to compare and rank the top schools, but as far as being worthwhile, this comes up well short.
