Does anyone know the details of Columbia's deferral policy? They describe it as "very liberal" on their web site, but don't give any details.
I've heard they are, in fact, very liberal about granting deferrals, but does anyone know if someone that defers admission can reapply to other schools during the deferral year(s)?
Thanks!

Re: Columbia deferral policy
They grant 1 or 2 year deferrals as long as you have a legit reason for doing so (volunteer, job, trip, etc). They also defer your grant awards.
You have to agree not to apply anywhere else in those years and you have to show proof of what you did in those two years before matriculation.
