Slytherin. At all 10, you have to be a Slytherin even to get in. Those schools don't mess around when it comes to the Dark Arts.

As in, which will emotionally abuse you the most, yet leave you begging for more, no matter what it does? Again, I'm sticking with ALL of them.

Edward is a total Harvard.

He's the most well-known and has the most lay prestige. No one would turn down Harvard or Edward. He's just fucking sexy and hard to get.

I'll bite (see my username, I couldn't resist!):

Yale= Ravenclaw. Scholarly, academic. Where those of wit and learning will always find their kind, and whose adcom believes that the cleverest will always be the best.

Harvard/Columbia/Chicago= Slytherin. Ambitious. Those cunning folk use any means to achieve their ends.

Berkeley/NYU= Gryffindors. Here dwell the brave at heart fighting the PI fight.

Michigan/Penn/UVA= Hufflepuff. Hardworkers are most worthy of admission, and adcoms say "we'll teach the lot and treat them just the same." Also, not that remarkable in any other ways than that they're nice.

Stanford, anyone???

I love your list. I'd probably say I'd put Stanford in Ravenclaw though.

I teach high school English. The effect of this Edward character on young girls...grr.... I try to assert my "Team Jacob"-ness whenever applicable.

But seriously, Jacob does might be good for a weekend fling, but who can pass up immortal perfection and undying devotion?

I basically just wrote an analysis on the character of Bella. I was disgusted by the whole series, seeing as it was geared towards young females.

She has NO hobbies, abandons all of her friends and family for a guy, her only way of "coming to life" again after that 20 blank pages nonsense was through another guys and her dearest wish is to leave her entire life and die for him. Its an obsessive alpha male and obsessive incredibly weak female pairing. Sort of writes itself.

Then I did a thing about if young adult fiction has a moral responsibility in regards to such issues inherent to the form, leading into a discussion of censorship, blah blah blah.

Guess if you consider his form of love "undying devotion" as perfect, then Edward is your ideal. Go for it. I prefer men who are not as manipulative and horrible ("Bella...I'm leaving you...(200 pages later)...I'll die if you aren't with me, I'm killing myself....(next book)...your desires aren't important, I know what's best for you, deal with it...(next book)...ok we'll get married but right after let's have badly written, incredibly rough sex")

I mean, escapist fantasy is escapist fantasy. But it was written for young women. It bothered me.

You forgot that during the rough sex he bit that pillow and spilled feathers everywhere. Because thats what you do.

I like my fantasy books to be that way. I don't want them to be at all normal or realistic. If a hot, sexy, immortal being wants to climb through my window, he's always more than welcomed to. Lol

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
