Pepperdine VS Washington and Lee??!??
What are some opinions on each of these schools?? I know there is a pretty big difference in ranking (Pepperdine 55 W&L 30) but Pepperdine seems to be climbing the rankings and W&L seems to be going down...I loved both schools when I visited but just cannot decide if the job market is stronger on the west or east coast-I'm open to both options after graduating! I can't decide! Does anyone have comments on these schools??????

W&L. We have cows.
Pepperdine is in Malibu. Malibu is f'ing sweet, though horridly expensive.
W&L is in Lexington. We have cows. And two bars. And tons of house parties.
Rankings wise, obviously W&L. We seem to be averaging about 1 spot drop per year over the past decade.
Cost of living in Lexington is dirt cheap. Malibu is obviously not.
Employment prospects? It depends. If you want to practice in CA, Pepperdine will obviously be easier to find a job straight out of school. If you don't have a geographical preference, then W&L might be better. I'm not really sure. The economy sucks so hard that I'm considering a career change to male prostitute. But yeah, California is going to suck economy-wise for quite a while. See the budget crisis and continuing failures at fixing the problem.
In summary, W&L.
Disclaimer: I'm from L.A. I go to W&L.

Being a W&L student, how do you feel about the new third year program? Do you expect it to push W&L down in rankings? This makes me nervous...not that I'm terribly caught up in rankings considering I'm considering a 55 school...

High COL -1
given the bad economy, maybe focus on your financials and which schools will give you less debt; I don't know anything about W&L to compare job prospects etc
