Want biglaw...preferably chicago or d.c.

You could argue that Michigan is slightly better than Duke (esp. for Chicago), but you'd be crazy to argue that it's $45k better. I'd still tell you to visit both and decide which one you like better, though.

I would tell you to try and negotiate matching money out of Michigan and then make the choice, but I know from experience that they are unlikely to give you anymore. Still, worth a shot.

But I think it looks like you are coming to Duke. See you in the fall! You will love it here.
