I'm still deciding between a couple schools, but I don't want to lose their scholarship offers, so I must decide in the next couple weeks. Can I just give a deposit to both schools and put off my decision? Do they report my decision to LSAC?

Keep in mind you'll lose one of those deposits...

Not only can you, but in your situation, you probably should, if there is still doubt as to which way to go.

Sometimes schools offer a refund for part of the deposit. Call up the schools and ask.

At some point doesn't LSAC report to schools who has double deposits. I recall getting an email about that or something. I think down the road they will make you pick one. It's well after ASW's, though.

I'm sure they do report it but I don't think its a big deal. I mean, one school gets to keep the deposit then pick someone off the waitlist and the other gets the OP as a student. It is win-win for the schools.

This usually begins around June 15 and the second deposit deadline. You would have to be stupid do pay your second seat deposit at two schools anyway; if you can't make up your mind by then, when are you going to?

Some schools require you to withdraw from other schools after depositing (those accepting UF scholarships, with April 1 deadline have to do this, for example). Normally it's not a problem, but I'd call the schools before you do this.

Only to schools that have already admitted you. You can remain on any waitlists and don't need to withdraw pending applications.

I should have mentioned that, true, but OP, still call.
