Top Law Schools

I applied early to UVA and will be attending. Despite withdrawing my app from St. John University, they accepted me with a full scholarship.

I felt that UVA is the no-brainer choice here despite my having to pay full tuition, but plenty of people disagree. I would like to know what you guys think. What factors into making the correct decision?

Ok, I guess I should have posted this in the UVA 2013 thread because i have already chosen my law school. I am happy and excited to be going there, and I have no second thoughts about my decision. I just wanted feedback as to what tls thinks the right decision is in that spot.

I'd have the same answer for you there. This is not a question you should be asking now. You should have asked it before you ED'd. The answer now that you've been accepted ED is "yes, if you have any interest in becoming a lawyer". Otherwise you've screwed yourself.

vanwinkle, when I was a prospective student, your posts were helpful in making my informed decision to ED. Upon rereading my op, I see how it seems like a question that isn't worth asking at this point. With that said, I am asking this question to see what other people would do in my spot and why. I don't think there is any harm in that.

i would've gone with UVA as well.

Fair enough. Hypotheticals are okay. I'm just becoming really concerned about the number of people on this forum who appear to ED and then question whether or not they're willing to pay sticker. That's the wrong order, and I want to make clear to anyone reading now that I believe the important time to ask for your own situation whether it's worth paying sticker is before you ED.
