Why oh why is anyone considering attending this overpriced third tier toilet? Which employment statistics shown in their glossy brochure have NOT been manipulated? Can you find one?

Do you think you will be treated with respect by the smiling faculty and administrators on their website?

They will treat you with nothing but disdain and condescension from the first day until the last final exam you take. Then you will immediately get hustled for alum 'DONATIONS' to perpetuate this TTTOILET fraud.

Wow...talk about hate! I was seriously considering attending for a while because they offered me $. I still haven't written them off. I'm guessing you're a current student. What's your beef with SHU?

Yeah for real. We all know jersey sucks but thats some serious hate towards the school.

Any specific reasons?

Besides its ranking, can we hear some facts about why the school sucks and not just arbitrary rambling.

All i can talk about is my own experience. That is the way the administrators and many (not all) professors chose to deal with the students. Constantly surveilled and treated as if we were hiding some 'nondisclosed' ethics violation. Then when we graduate we are suddently supposed to feel like it was all in good fun and now we are part of their exclusive club? That was unacceptable to me.

I will never donate one penny to that school and never set foot in its doors again.

Several friends of mine graduated Rutgers Law School and say they had a good experience and were treated with respect. I only wish I had known that before I chose to attend SeTTTon hall law.

Good points.

The Dean 'guided' the Law School to being dropped from #66 to #77 in USN&WR. I guess he did such a great job that he can take on the new responsibility of ruining the athletic department.

Ummm...ok. Can you (or someone else) please elaborate on this? This isn't very helpful if we don't have details. what kinds of "non-disclosed" ethics violations? How do professors deal with students? There isn't much first hand info on this site about SHU, so a thread like this immediately raises flags for prospective students.

I will try to be specific but it is difficult since in essence I am describing how I felt as a student. There are almost as many "spy" (the administration would say '"security") cameras in this small school as on a casino floor. Not only that, but the classrooms are equipped with audio and video surveillance. Nothing you do or say in your years there will go unrecorded. It is all about control for this administration. They preach a free discourse and an open dialogue of ideas...That is comical. That is like Fidel Castro preaching about the benefits of freedom as he takes your home from you.

These cameras and microphones should be turned ON THIS ADMINISTRATION and not on the students. This ADMINISTRATION is the one who provides their insanely unrealistic and unverifiable employment statistics. This ADMINISTRATION is the one who accepted a shakedown from the pharmaceutical industry to fund the teaching legal medical 'ethics' (Gee I wonder how that curriculum will skew).
