Transferring into UCLA or USC Forum

I know transfers are often long shots and I should be happy graduating from whichever school I start at, but out of curiousity if my long term goal is to attend USC or UCLA which school would be better for me to attend now....UFlorida or Loyola LA?

Florida is obviously higher ranked and my top choice school as of now, but somehow I was waitlisted at Loyola (my lowest ranked school I applied to) and was wondering if I should stay on the WL if it will help me get into USC/UCLA because it is local, or does that not matter?

IMO it would help if you're trying to transfer from Loyola LA, since UCLA/USC would be familiar with the students there and how they perform after transferring, whereas Florida is more of an unknown. Also, if you end up not transferring, Loyola LA would obviously do better in LA.
