Rutgers Camden $ v. Seton Hall $$$

Post by Onion » Sat Mar 13, 2010 5:44 pm

The scholarship given to me by Seton Hall would make the price of the schools equal. As far as job placement, and national reputation, which would be the better choice?

neither will provide you national mobility. Rutgers will allow you to search for jobs in Jersey and Philly. Seton Hall will allow you to search for jobs in Jersey and NYC.

Does the Seton Hall scholarship come with GPA requirements? If so, then you should go to Rutgers all the way. My anecdotal evidence based on knowing a huge network of lawyers in Jersey is that Rutgers is the better choice. I should say that all of those are Public Interest Lawyers. Seton may or may not do better in the private sector, I can't say.

I have a Rutgers Camden 3L friend who, despite being in the top 20%, cannot find a job to save her life. On the other hand, you'll notice the most bitter hatred for their alma mater comes from Seton Hall alumni.
