IU-B ($$$) vs. W&M ($) no brainer??????

I'm very excited to post in this thread.... it's been a long journey. I am still waiting on a few schools, however, I wanted to get opinions on IU-B vs W&M. Looking at the money it seems like a no-brainer, is it really that cut and dry between the two? Heard alot of talk on this site about IU-B being overrated. Below are some more details..

90k @ IU-B good standing (2.3)
15k @ W&M not sure on stips

Edit: Out of state for both schools

- No preference in region (like the idea of getting back to Houston at some time, not necessarily right after graduation)
- Would like BigLaw (corporate law)
- have undergrad loans (~15k), so somewhat debt adverse

Edit: Poll added, but would like to hear reasons for one way or the other as well. Thanks a ton.

Are you from Virginia or not (aka in-state or out-of-state tuition at W and M)?

I am assuming you got the grad fellowship, which will give you opportunities to work with professors etc.

No, unfortunately I did not get the grad fellowship.

Unless you want to work in VA/DC it's probably pretty silly to go to W&M over money at IU-B. Regardless of what posters here say about IU being overrated, it's still a good school with a good reputation, and you'll apparently be going almost free.

If you get in touch and keep in touch with people in Houston, or perhaps try to find an IU-B grad at a major Houston firm, you should be fine for Houston.

Here's a person who graduated from IU, and specializes in corporate law. Now you send her an email telling her youre really considering attending IU, but you worry about being able to get back home to Houston; you also really think corporate law is what you want to do...blah blah blah. (see how easy that is?)

I'm very interested in this as well.

Will IUB's placement and ranking hold up to WM's?

From what I can tell from some of the research I've done, W&M places better in BigLaw. Guess it just depends on how much you're willing to pay for slight boost.
