This does not include the T14. I will fill in each respective state's best law school as posts occur and debate happens. And i will only include the lower 48 states . Hypothetically speaking, Illinois I believe UIUC is the best school non-T14 in Illinois and Loyola being #2 and so on. And to clear up BEST means best job prospects in the state(overall).

Just to rep my own options:


Missouri- WUSTL
MA - BU/BC

Alabama- The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa

in Arkansas, UA-Fayetteville is ranked higher. But I don't think it matters. UA-Little Rock probably gives you a leg up b/c of location in both the capital and the state's only real legal market.

On the other hand, if best means "best academic reputation," the I'd say UAF probably wins. But who cares? This has to be about jobs, yes?

That said: When you add in cost, I'd be willing to say UALR is a much better value for Arkansas-focused folk who want to or are forced to study in-state.

Maine - Maine (it's the only one!)

You know that there are schools outside the t14 that are going to do better in certain states than the "best school in the state."

I feel like you may need to geographically break down the state of California further. (Example: Loyola does very well in LA but I don't know how well they place in Norcal.)

Oregon - I'm saying tie between L&C and U Oregon. Willamette distant 3rd.

yes i agree but in general T14 law schools could dominate most states if they need/want to.

You might start out with Los Angeles and San Francisco. If people are interested you could then expand to other legal markets.
