All of these schools would place similarly in NYC (i.e. poorly), so you should take the money and run.

Looking stats though while now every school not just these 4 are having trouble placement wise, St.John
s has done well in the past, many people whom I know who graduated there have gone on to biglaw, granted they were in the top 10-15 percent. So it makes me think perhaps ths would be a better choice, even though top 10-15% is no guarantee

Also keep in mind that my parents will be paying for most of law school. So, while I actually won't be paying much, I don't want to burden them too much.

I would go with the money and work my butt off to be near the top of the class. There are only certain schools you should consider paying sticker for and unless you are really sure it could get you a job it seems very hard to do so.

I voted for Pace although I know people at NYLS that say they really like it and that the environment is great.

hofstra has the same reputation if not better than johns, and a superior alumni network. hofstra vs. pace? theres difference here, no one hiring a hofstra or pace graduate is going to look at ranking.

I suppose, still if they don't recruit there then they won't even have the opportunity to look at rankings. It appears that St.John's even in this economy brings in a bunch more biglaw firms for OCI then the other three.
