Top Law Schools

Long time reader, first time contributor. I have already applied to several law schools:

Stanford
Berkeley
Michigan
Duke
UVA
Ohio State U
University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign
Indiana Bloomington

and as I await acceptances and scholarship offers, I am also thinking about compatibility with the student body.

If I: am NOT fratty, between ages of 23-25, enjoy the occassional video games, like to play board games with friends for fun, laid back, not pretentious, but also serious about academics....

Which law schools do you think I would be most compatible with, least compatible with, based upon your experience/knowledge/perception, and most importantly, why?

I realize this has the potential for trolls and flames, but please offer me the best advice you can from what you've read and know about these schools. I have found it is somewhat difficult to get an assessment of the culture of a law school and so I thought "crowd sourcing" might be worth a shot. Thanks everyone for your help.

Is UVA really that fratty/drink heavy?

It's more that they physically abuse those who play board games.

It is if you want it to be. It's not like any school has a monolithic culture. I personally spent most of my time hanging out/studying in the study lounges this term and most of my drinking came in the context of grabbing a beer during Thursday Kegs.

I know a Stanford law grad who matches that description. He really enjoyed it--plenty of laidback, kinda nerdy people.

Supposedly Duke and UVA are the "frattiest." My s/o's cousin goes to UVA while we go to another T-14 on that list. He has a quite a few "half naked (topless) while drunk" pics on facebook and his friends look pretty fratty...

He's a 3L now. At pretty much any school, 1Ls crank it up the first two semesters and study less once 2L year arrives, unless you take individual/corporate tax.
