Man and woman cannot live by status checker alone. So here's a diversion. If you went to a law fair in 2009, which schools had the best, and worst, law fair representatives?
Best = friendly, approachable, informative, gave you a good feeling about the school, good salesperson
Worst = not so friendly, not so approachable, not so informative, some other characteristic that turned you off
My $0.02:
Best = North Carolina, Indiana, Villanova, Notre Dame, American
Worst = Florida, Penn State, Vanderbilt, Cornell

Best: Wisconsin, Fordham, Willamette
Worst: Hastings (rude and belittling to me and others, kept me from applying to the school)
I went to the DC fair.

Florida dude looked borderline upset that I interrupted his texting. All but threw a brochure at me.

Best: WUSTL by far, Duke was solid too (Mark Hill seemed like a pretty nice guy). Vandy was good too, but that was mostly because there were a couple of ?Ls and they were pretty obviously happy to be there.
Worst: Withheld in the interest of paranoia

Best: Hastings, Tulane, Penn State, Michigan
Worst: Boston, DePaul, Hofstra
Fav: Wisconsin (He was a new alumni in town for the football game the next day. He wasn't a rep, and had been asked by the dean to stand in for the night after the dean found out he was in town. We talked football for a good 10 minutes. By far my favorite.)

We had one at my school, very small 2500 person school. UF was outstanding, they sent their actual director of admissions out (or maybe associate???) either way, she was top of the food chain and wonderful to talk to.
Worst, REGENT!!!! I mean, ok, maybe they were one of the friendliest duos on the planet, and even gave out food...but you know, just, I hated them. I guess thats all. I hate regent.

They may want to send that person to future events, then ... because whoever they sent to the event I went to seemed completely disinterested.

I attended the University of Texas and the University of Texas San Antonio law fairs.
Best: University of Richmond, SMU, Tulsa.
All of them were outstanding and kept up personal dialogues with me via email. The representative from Richmond even called me personally to admit me very, very early in the process. All of these schools' reps also remembered me by name and flagged me down when I saw them at the second law fair a few days later.
I'll also say that Baylor, Maryland, Houston, North Carolina and Arizona State were kind and patient.

I went to New York LSAC Forum this past year, and I also had some similar thoughts (but I'm not T-14 material)...
Best: North Carolina, Tennessee, Wake Forest
Bad: Baylor, Florida, Miami, SMU
Worst: Pepperdine

I also went to the Houston fair last February, and agree with your list about the best reps. The Michigan rep offered an application fee waiver, and I talked with the Notre Dame reps for 20 minutes. When I told them my GPA and LSAT, one of the reps actually started laughing uncontrollably at my TTTT grades. Definitely my most interesting experience with a school representative.

IUB Law Day back in the fall
Best: Columbia. The rep was really enthusiastic and friendly, and if I remember correctly, he high-fived me at some point.
Worst: Chicago. Rep was condescending, and I was pretty turned off. Considered not applying.

Went to UMinnesota grad fair and Idealist grad fair in the fall.
Best: Northeastern, Michigan State, Syracuse, American, Maryland, Tennessee
Worst: George Mason by a landslide (the rep gave me the look of death, threw some brochures at me, and turned to talk to another school rep- Brandeis I believe- watched her do that to most folks there), IUB, OSU

The lady with short blond hair?! I think I may have had her too, I was way out on UT until meeting their rep, she reminded me a lot of a friend I would have had in UG.

I had a pretty different experience with these schools' law fair reps. I went to the UCLA fair with the specific intent of figuring out where I wanted to apply ED: Chicago or Columbia. The Columbia rep was knowledgeable enough, but didn't really seem too enthused about it all. Chicago had Dean Perry there, who really knew her shit and made me laugh a bit, too.
