Top Law Schools

Hey everybody. So like most of you, I got my LSAT back this Monday. I did a little worse than expected with a 163. I applied to mainly upper T1s (Emory/W&L etc) but now those are all reaches. I applied and will probably get into Davis and W&L is a possibility but a strong maybe. my GPA is something like a 3.42(3.39 but with a new quarter with 4.0)

My question: I know that Loyola does very well in LA. I really am looking for big law/business law, or entertainment law. Does anyone know if Loyola LA (as a T2 would do better than some of the T1s(like the mid 30s) for those interests? I really don't care about location.

I would assume that your education in LA would be more directly relevant/accessible to that type of law, and it would offer chances that good schools in small towns might now have. I doubt employers see it that way completely though.

Location is your answer. W and L would do far better in the mid-Atlantic/eastern South. Davis up Northern Cal. Loyola in LA. None of the kill at Big Law, all of them give some potential to go there for top students.

I know Layola and Southwestern transfer a lot of their best kids to UCLA and USC

Kind of what I figured, I figured Loyola had the best market being in LA but I guess it doesn't matter if you are in the top 10% at each school.
