Chances? If any?

Post by ineedamiracle » Wed Jul 01, 2009 1:11 pm

OK so a friend suggested I join this forum and see what you all have to think...

As my username suggest I do believe I need a miracle - to get into law school.

I have a 2.5 from a top 20 liberal arts school

and a 150 (top LSAT score - i also got a 148)

I am an African-American Male with some other pretty good "softs":

-1+ years working with a major committee on Capitol Hill (not just interning or answering phones)
-4 years of playing a varsity sport in undergrad
- A killer PS: Born with a fairly rare birth 'defect' of which ive had to have several major reconstructive surgeries and thousands of hours of all types of therapy to overcome, to even be able to communicate (speak) effectively among my peers, much less play a competitive contact sport, and excel at it.

Any thoughts on where I could apply, or what I should do?

I could retake a third time, but my second retake didnt yield much change, despite taking a class.

Retake, and study your ass off. Take as many preptests as you can find, and start studying a few months before the test everyday for at least a few hrs. You need a fantastic LSAT score to make up for your really low GPA, so make the LSAT your priority. Your PS sounds interesting, so there might be hope :)

Good luck
