Early Decision Washington and Lee (3.3/158/URM)
So I got denied last year but cleaned up the GPA. I'm considering taking the LSAT again but really don't care about the money. I turned down some generous offers to lower ranked (but not terrible schools) for Fall 2018. I loved W&L and really want to go here. I have a 3.3, 158, I'm a URM (Latino), a veteran, have held multiple leadership positions in my fraternity (fun irrelevant fact: the senior admissions counselor's husband is a brother), and was a resident assistant my last year there. I'm in their Middle 50, but not quite at or above medians or I would've gone RD in hopes of money. Money isn't an object and this is the only school I really want to go to. Do I have a shot or should I just retake the LSAT and try to get like a 165?

How did you clean up the undergrad GPA? I thought that LSAC does their own formula and that’s not going to change from one cycle to the next. Just curious about your statement. I definitely think that you need to study like crazy and take the LSAT again. You are URM and have military experience. But you need to take the studying seriously and focus. Getting into the 160’s and 165 would increase your chances. Better yet, getting 170+ would be serious scholarship money.
