Went from 156 Sept. to 161 Dec. Bummed score was so low since I was PTing well above that.

Quick Rundown:

T20 Undergrad (Think Vanderbilt, Rice, Texas, etc)
3.3 cum gpa, double major
161 Dec. LSAT
3 years work exp in banking
Strong recs from 2 profs
Mexican URM

Any shot whatsoever at t14? Even with Why X essays? Shot at WUSTL or Notre Dame?

Possible to retake in Feb and still get in this cycle if I do better?

No, your chances are slim to none. If you were PTing higher, you owe it to yourself to try again.

I applied with a 163 3.1 last year and I'm also a MA URM with two years of work experience. I didn't even make the waitlist of a T-14 you need to retake.

Thanks. Well obviously this sucks really hard to hear but not gonna complain. We're all going through our own personal journeys with this.

Is taking the LSAT a fourth time frowned upon? It would be my fourth if I retook in Feb.

I just took it for a 4th time and was fortunate enough to significantly improve my score. No idea how schools will look at
the number of times I’ve taken the test and am yet to see how this cycle goes. However, the general sentiment on TlS is that they will only consider your top score except for a few of the top schools.

Makes sense. And congrats! I hope to be in your boat soon. Yeah, I guess all they really care about are the scores they report to ABA.
