169, 3.93, URM (PR) - T14 chances?

Post by futureJD14 » Sat Dec 09, 2017 11:44 pm

Hi, I have a 169 LSAT, 3.93 GPA, and good work experience. I'm wondering what I should expect for T14 admissions/scholarships. It's hard to find information on how big of a boost Puerto Ricans get, and mylsn isn't very helpful for URMs with my stats because the sample size is so small.

What should I expect from the T14? Do I have a chance at either HYS or getting good scholarships from anywhere in the T14?

Any insight would be very helpful. Thanks!

good chance at admission to all of HYS. Scholarships are harder to predict, but good chance at big money in the lower t-14. I was a 3.7 170 PR and got in at H and S, wait listed at Y. But my biggest scholarship was 150K from Cornell, and had nothing close to that from anyone else. I also had mostly waitlists from 10-4, and was rejected from Michigan. So don't expect to get in everywhere, but you should have great options at the end of the cycle to choose from.

You'll do fine. Apply broadly (all t13). Reap the rewards.

What do you consider good work experience?

Government experience (domestic and international). Sorry for the late response!
