Re: Re-applicant Chances at HYS, 3.84, 167 --> 180

Reapplying isn't going to be a big problem since you made such a huge change in your LSAT.

You're almost certainly in at H. Y and S are tough, and Y in particular has the potential "consider all LSAT scores" caveat, but your chances should be as good as anyone's. I'd consider writing an addendum to explain the huge LSAT jump (e.g. the concomitant time commitment of applying to grad school) depending on what individual schools say about LSAT addenda in their FAQs online.

Michigan might yield-protect you since you didn't go last year and are obviously looking for better options but the T14 overall will probably be a mix of big scholarships and yield protection. CCN thirsts hard for numerical profiles like yours and I wouldn't be surprised if you got a Rubinstein or Hamilton.

No point in worrying because there is literally nothing you can reasonably do to increase your odds.

I had a similarly large LSAT jump and did not write any addendums because I didn’t have any good explanation besides studying better the second time. There was also a 4 year gap between my scores. The only school that asked about it was Columbia. Currently attending Harvard, for what it's worth.

@OP & others with significant score increases, how did you go about prepping the second time around? Really looking for at least 3+ score jump.
