3.85 GPA, 155 LSAT (URM)

Postby WannabeLawyer95 » Thu Jan 05, 2017 12:54 am

Been lurking this forum for approximately a year but I finally caved and made an account. I have a quick question for all the posters on this board.

What are my chances of getting a full or close to full scholarship to each of the following schools: Howard, Mercer, & North Carolina Central?

I have my reasons for my shortlist comprised of the aforementioned schools.

I imagine you have a pretty solid shot at all 3. Howard is traditionally an AA school, so you really don't need anyone here to tell you your chances. Just compare your numbers to the medians on their reports.

Of course, you shouldn't even be considering Mercer or NCC. I'd be fascinated to know how those schools ended up on your short list, given that all three choices you mentioned are in totally different areas of the country and offer radically different job outcomes. Howard actually offers you an outside chance to do relatively well after graduation. Mercer and NCC (especially NCC) do not.

And as always, retaking the LSAT for a score in the 160s would make you competitive for the T14. But it's just your career on the line; you can probably rush things.

Thanks for your response. I really appreciate it. Do you think I can expect close to a full scholarship from any of these schools?
