Re: 178/ 3.69 chances at HYS/CCN
1. You're not a splitter.
2. With right around your numbers (3.72/176) I got into Harvard and wait listed at Stanford and Yale.
3. I'm also prior military, which may or may not have had an impact.

Thanks for responding. For HYS I am a splitter. Also, did you get any sort of money at CCN?Dcc617 wrote:1. You're not a splitter.

So I have the GI bill so I didn't apply for need based aid anywhere. I got 15k from Chicago and withdrew from NYU before an aid offer. I actually got held at Columbia and withdrew, but other people around my numbers got that half scholarship.dojodawg wrote:Thanks for responding. For HYS I am a splitter. A lot of high number people got held and asked to submit a letter of continued interest. I don't know why, but I didn't submit one because I had already been accepted to a couple schools i strictly preferred over Columbia.dojodawg wrote:Awesome, thanks. Any idea as to why you were WL at Columbia?Dcc617 wrote:So I have the GI bill so I didn't apply for need based aid anywhere. I got 15k from Chicago and withdrew from NYU before an aid offer. In the interview I also admitted never having been to New York and talked about my plans for public interest. God only knows what actually did it.
