NYU ED or RD with a 3.6 gpa? What LSAT?

Post by TrunksFan1 » Tue Nov 17, 2015 8:10 am

Hey everyone, I think I am going to wait until next cycle to apply to law schools. I want NYU, but I know my GPA isn't great. It's a 3.61, but i will likely be able to get closer to 3.7 by my own graduation this year. With a GPA like this, would it be in my better interest to apply early? What LSAT would clinch the school for me?

Don't apply ED, that's just committing to an awful debt load.

As far as LSAT, just do everything you can to maximize your score. There's nothing to be gained from trying to hash out the minimum score you'll need to maybe get in.

According to MyLSN, going from a 169 to a 170 would jump you from ~30% to ~60%. So I would say breaking 170 is a good goal. 173 and up is basically 100%.
