Your odds at simply getting into those schools aren't great with a 156 to begin with, and even if you do, they almost certainly won't be worth attending with the amount of $ they give you. I attend one of the schools on your list - I had a slightly higher GPA, but a low/mid 160's score and got a nearly full ride.

I hated getting this advice, but sometimes the only correct answer is to retake. I think that holds true here.
