173 / 3.5 ED Chicago?

Post by JT339 » Sun Feb 16, 2014 5:26 am

I'll be applying to law school next cycle and I was wondering how competitive a 173 / 3.5 ED would be to UCHI? I plugged my numbers into mylsn and saw that all four people with similar numbers who applied ED were accepted. However, the sample size is really small so I'm still not entirely confident.

So I thought I'd ask TLS how you all feel about my chances?

I wouldn't ED. Should be competitive RD and get some really good $ at lower T-14s.

why ED when you can get into other T14s and potentially go to them for free?

I doubt you'll get a full ride in the T-14 but there's really no reason to ED anymore with the massive, and continuing, decline in applicants. Even if you are dead set on Chicago you'll get into Northwestern. Apply RD everywhere and you'll end up with great options.

Yup, don't ED unless you are crazy about Chicago for some particular reason (i.e. you have a hard on for Federalism and Milton Friedman).

If you are local, you probably have a very strong chance anyways - so don't go out of your way to chain yourself.
