Post by MrMagicMarleyMarl » Thu Jan 02, 2014 11:33 pm

Chances for columbia, chicago Nyu? Chances at lower t14?

Would you ED anywhere if you were in my place?

Average softs, 1 year WE as a paralegal.

Thanks for all your help, this is my first post but i've learned so much through these forums.

I wouldn't ED anywhere. Schools are too desperate for applicants. You'll have some solid options from NYU on down, and might snag one of CC.

3.5X/173 here. My numbers are a little better, but I was in basically your shoes so I know how you feel. I ultimately decided against EDing anywhere, but it was difficult.

Very similar numbers to philly, and I felt the same way. Maybe in past cycles I would have ED'd, but given the decline in applications I think there will be plenty of options for you.

I haven't checked the data since you get pretty apathetic about that once you're in LS, but there may be a noticeable difference between 171 and 173 as far as CCN goes, so there's always that to consider.

I wouldn't ED in your position. I would assess whether your goals and how Chicago or Columbia fit into them, because a retake to 174 will put you in strong contention there without ED. Otherwise, you have solid options and $-$$ down the t-14 and you shouldn't take these out of the picture by ed'ing to a school you didn't need to.

Good shot at NYU, lower at CC but who knows how LSAT hungry they'll be this cycle.

Who's footing the bill? If you ED you can expect no scholarship. If you apply around you will get some money. For that reason, I would not go ED. But if your people are paying and you know where you want to go for sure t could make sense.
