Re: 166/3.86
yes, yes, yes. people on tls will tell you that you have no shot and you need to retake, but many people get into T14 schools with your numbers. just make sure to spend a lot of time on your apps, and I mean a ton of time, make your personal statement jump out at the admissions officers, and give all of the t14 a shot! I got into a T10 with almost your exact numbers, granted I early decisioned, but I also got an interview back from georgetown so I know it's possible. Perhaps this late in the game you'll be disadvantaged, but if it doesn't work out, do an interesting internship or volunteering program for the summer and then reapply!
Good Luck!

Yes. Penn is a stretch, but you will get T14. That said, you won't get big scholly money there, and only a few points on the LSAT can save you SO MUCH money over the course of your life.

Any shot at Penn or any of the T14? I should add that I've taken the LSAT three times and I will definitely be applying this cycle.
I think we have a shot (id say u have slight better shot), but from what mylsn says, people with our scores are getting into penn ED. So now im contemplating ED round 2

Same boat. Sitting at a 166/3.85 with 2 years of WE. Was really shooting for Penn / UVA / Northwestern, am now staring down the barrel of UT (Texas resident) / Vandy / $$ @ SMU. Keeping fingers crossed that the smaller applicant pool will work in our favor...

Yeah, I think I am leaning that way. Trying to decide if I want to ED at multiple schools or just my top choice. What about you?goldenboy514 wrote:are u gonna ED?Cactus wrote:Same boat. Personally I'd say fish for scholly at U of Houston over SMU. Job placement is quite similar and it's cheaper. And it's public so they'd like your residency.Cactus wrote:Same boat.
