Yea, retake. I know.

I'm planning on it. However, due to circumstances I won't be able to take the LSAT until Feb.

I don't know if I should apply to the schools I want in California right now and then amend my score with a new score in late Feb? Or should I put it off until June and reapply for that cycle b/c it's cutting it too short?

Also, anyone wanna chime in that was in a similar situation with this type of score that saw a decent bump into the 160's? I'm trying to figure out what's going wrong.

My last exam I went -10 in games (guessed on two, I panicked I guess, fnck me), -5 LR in both sections, and -13 in RC. Pretty abysmal considering what types of scores people usually have on this site. Kinda bummed, but I know I want to do better and have the materials.

RC has been super difficult, and if I were to take it in June, should I just read a book a day or something? So lost and confused.

Would this affect my chances big time if I was at the 25% for certain schools? I'd rather then just hold off until June if possible, no?

I did. But I half-assed it from what I remember. I wouldn't go over why my answers were right or why the wrong ones were wrong.

Right now you are, in the immortal words of Mr. Pancakes, disqualified from attending law school. You are not allowed to do so until you hit at least the mid to high 160s. Timing of applications, etc. do not matter. All that matters is getting that LSAT score up. You have already wasted one attempt by not preparing properly. Don't make the same mistake with the last two attempts.

I think you should just hold off til June. Applying in February is like throwing money into the wind. Retake in June and, if not satisfied, retake again in October. You'll still have plenty of time to apply even with an October LSAT.

Yes. Use TLS to help study by following or amending one of the many LSAT study plans out there, critiquing your personal statement, etc..

Drill 1-40 from Cambridge
LSAT Trainer 16 week schedule (amend it around the drills for 1-40?)
PT's 40-70

How does this look so far?

Going to go for Feb. If it doesn't work, then there is always June.

That should be plenty of time to work through these materials. Your GPA puts you in an enviable position. Even a score in the low 160s could land you a T14 school. Mid/High 160s could mean a T14 with a lot of money. I would work through the bibles and Manhattan books before doing the PTs.
