3.0/166+ Where?

Post by chingwoo » Thu Sep 19, 2013 12:26 am

Where should I look at with a 3.0/166+? I'm thinking GWU and Alabama. Would anyone throw lots of cash my way? In the top 50ish.

Retaking for this cycle is going to be pretty difficult.

I wouldnt jump to retake here unless you need biglaw, in which case a 170/sitting out a cycle and working would position you best.

167 will get you solid merit aid at strong regional schools like WashU and UMN. Depending on where you have ties and want to practice, these are your best choices.

don't take bagelboy's advice. the less money in loans you take out and the better the school, the better off you'll be three years from now. period.

Lol Im not advocating more debt. What OP gains from a 170 is the shot to go $270K-$290K in debt at NU or UVA. Schools with GPA floors won't care about the extra points, and he's over median (and even at 75ths) at the T20's that will hand out full rides/large scholies at this point anyway.

Of course OP can retake. I probably would. But thats opening up less debt-averse options, not cheaper ones.
