3.98 GPA at Berkeley, 166 LSAT (retaking in October)...
Hey guys,
So I'm a 3.98 poli sci from Berkeley with a 166 June LSAT score. I'm really disappointed in this score and know I should retake as I was capable of scoring 170+ on my practice exams. I guess the test-day jitters really got the best of me.
Anyways, my dream is to go to UCLA law with as close to a full-ride scholarship as I can get. Realistically, what sort of score do I need to achieve this? What about at USC?
I would appreciate any help from anyone who has had any experience with this or has any tips on negotiating scholarships at these schools. Thank you!

A 167 will give you a full ride + stipend at either USC or UCLA.
You should aim higher, if you score a 170 on the LSAT, full rides below CCN open up and a 172 gives you a chance at HYS with full rides at CCN

ya dude just retake and hit their median/75th (which I believe is 167/8 for USC & 168/9 for UCLA but will likely drop this year) and you'll get fat monies. If you get a 170 you'll even compete for the rothman at USC which is a full-ride including a guaranteed 1L SA at Skadden.sinfiery wrote:A 167 will give you a full ride + stipend at either USC or UCLA.

Thanks for the advice! This is very reassuring and just the motivation I need to bump up the score a few points

Why can't other schools do this? It would definitely make their full rides more valuable, and presumably if a place like Skadden agrees to do this at a place like USC, then V25 firms might be willing to do something similar at the T14.Cobretti wrote:radar714 wrote:ya dude just retake and hit their median/75th (which I believe is 167/8 for USC & 168/9 for UCLA but will likely drop this year) and you'll get fat monies. Re: 3.98 GPA at Berkeley, 166 LSAT (retaking in October)...
Hey guys,
I have an unfortunate update. After scoring 170's consistently on practice tests, I froze on the real thing again and my score dropped to a 165. I do not wish to retake so it seems as though my stats stay at 166/ 3.98. What do you all think the scholarship offers are going to be at UCLA/ USC? Is there anything else I can do, besides retake, to improve my chances at $$$. Thanks in advance!

Also, this:

You should get a hefty scholly at both schools. Not looking too good for the full rides though.
