Re: Prior Marine - 155 LSAT - 3.93 GPA What are My Chances??
Ok you are a troll.
You have this opportunity to do so well yet you have these misguided ideas about what YOU think is right.
Dude...
3.9 GPA
US Marine service
Spend 3 months, get a 165+ and you're probably good enough for a TOP TIER law school.
Nobody is asking you to get a 99.999999999999999999999999999999999th percentile score.
Just something decent. 150 is trash tier.
165 and you're in at most good schools. If you do better HYS is probably set in stone.
Then again you're probably a troll... you probably got a 180 on june lsat and now you want to troll the rest of us.

Black Hat,
Thanks for wasting 3 years of your life and $200k+ of the U.S. Government's money on a trash J.D. from a trash law school that should probably be closed. You should come hang out with us after not getting a job with JAG.
Sincerely,
China & Russia

No, but most everyone will be rational/objective and do things based on logic instead of personal beliefs.Black Hat wrote:So is everyone in law school going to be as pretentious as the people on this forum?

Most of us don't have the benefit of having all costs taken care of to study law.
If I had that luxury I would aim for the best JD education I could possibly obtain.

Have you read through the Military Law thread yet? That would be a great place to start in getting a feel for just how hard getting a JAG position is (even with military experience). There are plenty of good applicants there that didn't have it work out, to the point where they are still applying for the 4th-5th time and missing.
And please stop trying to school people on how the military runs. You sound immature and make those of us AD and vet types sound like jerks.

Wow, you really are insufferable. Take your special snowflake syndrome to one of these shitty schools, end up at median, and we'll see if you are so self-assured. You came to this site to find someone, anyone, to validate your awful decision. Spoiler alert: you won't find what you're looking for.Black Hat wrote:So everyone that went to every school on my list is unsuccessful? Unemployed? Underemployed? Is that what you are intimating? bUT YOU CAN GO TO HYS FOR FREE TOO TROLL...Black Hat wrote:This is the reason that there is nothing wrong with going to a tier 2 school. All of the above comments are valid, if I were paying for it, but I am not. The schools are decent and they are 100% free. There isn't anything wrong with that. Taking on a 6 figure debt load to go is a MUCH MUCH MUCH different story.laww wrote:Most of us don't have the benefit of having all costs taken care of to study law.

Except for the fact that no matter how much you pay for a school that doesn't change their employment statistics....Black Hat wrote:This is the reason that there is nothing wrong with going to a tier 2 school. I don't consider 50% employment statistics to be decent.

Since when is 70% decent? Especially when you can have 90%? This makes no sense.Black Hat wrote:USC and WVU are 70%.politics89 wrote:Except for the fact that no matter how much you pay for a school that doesn't change their employment statistics....Black Hat wrote:This is the reason that there is nothing wrong with going to a tier 2 school. You're either deliberately misunderstanding, in which case I think you're just trolling or looking for someone to validate what you've already decided, or you're just straight dumb. Of COURSE that's not what he was saying.Black Hat wrote:So everyone that went to every school on my list is unsuccessful? Unemployed? Underemployed? Is that what you are intimating?
