Top Law Schools

Here is my info:
Undergrad School: Emory University
GPA: 3.67
LSAT: 161
Majors: Business and Philosophy
Work Experience: Yes at 3 different locations
Clubs
Social Service etc.

Can someone tell me what schools i should look into and what my chances would be. I was also wondering if i should retake the LSAT as i have only taken it once thus far. Thank you.

If you don't retake, you're pretty much locked out of the T20. Where you apply would depend on where you want to work.

I would retake if possible, either to get better scholarships at these schools, or to get into schools with better employment statistics.

I agree and thank you, but is their any indication of how much my score can improve by if i was scoring a 165 average on my practices before my real lsat?

What made you score 4 points below your average? Nerves?

This depends. How much prep did you do beforehand? Did you just start taking PTs and score in the mid-160s? Have you looked through the LSAT prep forum on this site? Are most of your mistakes centered in the logic games section?

Nova: I believe i scored lower somewhat due to nerves because my score shows that before the break i was doing fine and after the break i was just losing my confidence.

Lavitz: I took a prep course to prepare for the LSAT and took about 10-12 prep tests. I was also seeing gradual improvement with these prep tests and finished with a score of 167. I haven't really looked at the prep forums on here, are they helpful? i also do fairly well in logic games, i only missed one on the real thing.

Yes, they're very helpful. I started out with a 164. After two months of pithpike's strategy followed by two months of SOS method, I scored a 178 on the real thing. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the former strategy to you because it's main benefit is mastering the logic games, and it sounds like you've already done that. But if logical reasoning and/or reading comprehension are problems, I'm sure you can also find helpful guides for those in the LSAT forum.

LR is most likely where youll be able to pick up the most points.

I would drill drill drill with the materials in Noodley's http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 6&t=195603 if I were you.

You can def get up 5-10+ points by Oct.

When you take the test, try to just pretend its PT 70.
