Hi all-

I had my heart set on NYU or CLS, which is beginning to seem unlikely. I was pre-testing at 173-171. Given that I'm only now going into my junior year, should I retake? Would applying ED to either of these school be helpful?

Another option could be waiting until I finish my senior year so I can approve my GPA. But it would only really be possible to improve to a 3.78 or so. Which doesn't seem to help my situation by much.

Any advice?

Right, there aren't many datapoints for the last 2 cycles but it doesn't look good.

And for some reason, the only person I could find in that range who got in ED to NYU was a 169/3.73 from 4 years ago. You are just above the current GPA median at NYU though, so maybe you have a chance.

I highly recommend retaking if you can though. You said you were PTing 171-173. With just a 171, you're likely in at NYU with $ and have a chance at Columbia.
