That was a really dumb plan lol. Well the way I see it now, the only logical thing to do is put in LSAT work for every day from now until a couple of days before the October test and do well enough on it to either get into a T6 or a T14 w/good $ or else don't go to law school.

Maybe I was wrong about you. Your first reasonable, intelligent statement to date.

OP if you are "too lazy" to study for the LSAT, then you are a waste of URM status.

You put shame on us URM's.

This would appear to be the only valid response to a question posed by arguably the most annoying TLSer.

May I suggest the following career path instead: http://www.nols.edu/courses/find/educat ... ctor.shtml.

Get away from the East Coast and deep into nature for a while. Improve your physical health and mental well-being. Take a cleansing journey of self-discovery far, far away from the mind-numbing, life-sapping toys and addictions of urban living, like television and the internet.

What can I even do to improve my applications other than raising my LSAT?

holding a ft job + Polishing the fuck out of your app should help

DaRascal wrote:I really hate to keep bumping this up but do you guys think it would be a smart strategy for me to exercise the ED option for Cornell on August 15th? I'm just thinking it might make sense because even though I'm making progress in my LSAT prep so far, if I choke in October or don't improve a lot then if I can sneak an acceptance I would be fine and could retake again in June. And if I do improve a lot then if I got into C through the ED I could just sit out this next cycle anyway and take time to work and pay down my undergrad debt and still retake in June depending on the improvement.

Can I get some validation for this plan of action?

Depends on what levels of debt you are comfortable with.

You have wavered between saying all T1 are worth sticker and only HYSC are. This debt management decision is an individual choice, but you will wind up paying sticker at Cornell if you apply ED.

MA URM status is tricky and your stats are still below Cornell level. Moreover, ED at Cornell does not carry the same substantial advantage as UVA.

I think if you are confident of the possibility of a 165+ retake, ED cornell is a bad move.
If you share your earlier concerns about sticker at lower T14, ED cornell is a bad move. If you're comfortable with the debt (not a reasonable position IMO but whatever) and you dont think you can score over 164 at best, go ahead.

This is the first year for Cornell ED so there isn't any data on how much of a boost it will provide. It sounds reasonable if you're comfortable with the debt, but Cornell is crazy expensive at sticker.
