You might even be able to get Harvard if you score high enough (maybe 176 or 177). HLS really likes Harvard grads and every other law school will give you a GPA boost for going to HYP.

Good luck!

Like others have said, with that logic, the LSAT will be hard for you

edit-http://www.lawschoolpredictor.com/wp-content/uploads/Law-School-Predictor-Full-Time-Programs.htm

you can see even assuming you get a 3.5 and 170, Georgetown is iffy and the top schools are completely out

Wonderful. I just want to live in DC and law school is one of 10 options.
Georgetown would be nice. Other schools would be meh. Could try for other schools but don't want to be living there. Top law school isn't a requirement for my goals. I'm looking for academics and housing. Georgetown night school is a major option. So is business school.

Plus showed this thread to two harvard admissions counselors who live in our dorms and they think this is the most worthless, counterproductive source of info they've seen.

just curious, do you want to practice law? Or do you think a law degree is a way of opening up politics even more? If the former, sure go for it. If the latter, then don't go to law school

Seems like you already got good connections and stuff, dont go to law school if you solely intend to use it for education and not practice

Harvard undergrad to American law. That would be a damn shame. I know a guy that went from Cornell undergrad to Emory and from Penn undergrad to UT law. These guys did what OP is going to have to do: Go from an elite undergrad to a mediocre law school, when they should have done it the other way around.

Dude have you done any reading about American? The schools programs mesh perfectly with OPs goals.

The best way to get housing is to get a job. But if you can't find a paying job in DC, no worries. There's always American at 150K.

Not at all. I personally know two (non-URM) people with lower GPAs than 3.5 who are sitting on CCN acceptances.

I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that two Harvard employees (who live in the dorms, wtf?) would deny that their degree doesn't lead directly to bjs and full rides from every law school in the country.

I appreciate you complete misconception of Harvard culture.

Houses have tutors. Tutors have jobs. Most tutors are in grad programs. Some work in the admissions office. Some have a strange memory of exactly what was on your app. I'll listen to the person who literally approved my being here.

As someone that went to a peer Ivy of Harvards' -- at least in my university, the students that were working in admissions did not have the final say in apps. As seniors they got to sit in on committee discussions, do interviews and give feedback to the real ad comms, again, that was for senior undergrads. However, regardless, the actual decisions were not made by students -- grad or undergrad. So, I'm shocked that a grad student working would have that much approval power to actually approve your application, that is different.

Does mr. Harvard have a mental health/personality disorder? Or is he just that narcissistic? That level of self flattery is sometimes indicitive of mental health problems.

On of my political friends formed and ran a PAC and raised over $500,000. He then stabbed his step father, led cops on a police chase, and is in jail. Apparently he's a paranoid schizophrenic. You remind me of him...

thats the thing, it doesnt make any sense for a current student to have the final say.

I'm not denying current students have sway, maybe even strong sway, but there is no way the person "literally" approved you.

OP, you might be too valuable to go to law school. The party won't find another dedicated, brilliant team player like you who can canvass and lick envelopes. Strongly reconsider.

Admissions counselors can go to grad school after a while. There are things called case managers and interviewers.

While I feel it's only necessary to comment on the Harvard admissions misconception,

I would have to feel bad for your friend because if I was only able to raise $500,000 that would be depressing.

No LSAT because I have 4 terms left including this one. I took time off after we won the primary.
