You are not a minority for admissions purposes.

see for yourself:

167 is the magic number

I have a couple of very good internships under my belt, great soft variables, and I would consider my self a minority; I was born in the Middle East. Vandy is my top choice because I want to goto school in Nashville. Any insight would be much appreciated.
You are not a URM for the purposes of law school admissions and soft largely don't matter. Go to lawschoolnumbers and see how people fared. Nobody will be able to give you better information than that website.

I'm fairly new to all of this, how accurate is that website. Do people plug their own numbers in or do they get it from LSAC. Also, you dont think I would make it in with a 165?

The answer is you aren't COMPLETELY statistically disbarred, but why limit yourself and what you can accomplish? This will be stated ad nauseum around here, but the LSAT is VERY LEARNABLE. 167+ is very doable, and if you can pull a 170+ you won't even have to concern yourself with what sticker would feel like. You might not care about it now, but given the choice of $200k+ debt or <$100k debt, which would you choose.

Do the right thing

If that sites not reliable then nothing is reliable. LSN is all we have to go by.

+1. I will soil myself if I get admitted to one of the schools on this list, except for Chicago.

Take the LSAT. No way to tell you now, need a score.

Also, don't go to Vandy at sticker. That would be indefensible IMO. Score high enough so that you get a good scholarship or so that you get into a better school.

I say this as someone who has Vandy as one of their top choices.

With a 3.9, you can probably get in with a 165-66, but shoot higher -- a 168 should open you up to a substantial scholarship.
