I'm not a T-14 or bust type of person. I'm currently attending a TTT. BUT you should only attend a low-ranked school if it'll be free or pretty close to free. You're not going to get a huge scholarship with a 148 so really, retake.

I do think the experience IS what threw me off. That, and a ridic RC section being the first section. Idk man, i just dont wanna wait a year. and i can always transfer.

Exactly my point. The experience threw you off, so you now know what to expect. I understand you don't want to wait a year as it may feel like an extremely daunting task trying to figure out what to do with that year, but would you rather put off law school for one year to have the chance at less debt and a better job, or would you rather start now KNOWING that you could have done better? The second option sounds like a lifetime of regret to me - just saying.

I would be working my shitty 9-5 FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR. WUT

You are better of donating $250k to charity than going to any of these awful schools.

There is no possible way that a 148 is your max potential. Retake for 160+ and then weigh your options.

So go. Just work at it until you don't have to go to a crap school and fail at life just because you're too goddamned impatient to work a normal job for A WHOLE YEAR ZOMG.

Seeing your reasoning here, I think I can understand why you scored so low. Ask you friend how many people she knows who don't have a job or are underemployed.

Your single-instance anecdote is really convincing and all, but the fact of the matter is that you'll pay enough money to buy a house for a <50% shot at actually getting a job as an attorney, and about a 10% chance of getting a job as an attorney who makes enough to pay back those loans: http://www.lstscorereports.com/?school=albany.

Ok i know one instance does not represent the whole. Im just saying it doesnt automatically mean im going to fail at life. If you were to say one is going to automatically fail at life by attending Albany then NOONE would land a job.

What are these softs? Not likely to matter much with that score. Take the year, retake LSAT, and if you do well then start applying, but if not, start thinking about some potential career options outside of law.

If you want to be a lawyer you need to wait and study hard for 3 months to do your best, like the rest of us have. It sucks, but it feels incredible once you put the time in.
